ADCC English Open Success for Mikey Brook and Toby Colling

A couple of weeks ago, two of our team members, Mikey Brook and Toby Colling, competed in the ADCC English Open and put on a great showing.

Toby had an impressive run, winning his first match with a kneebar, his second with a triangle, and earning a silver medal after a hard-fought final that went to points.

Mikey had a strong performance too, finishing his first match with a rear naked choke, the second on points, and taking gold by winning the final with a straight footlock.

Outside of competition, Mikey has been coaching our Tuesday night NoGi class, and his style has been a great addition to the team. He’s been using a lot of ecological games and movement-based drills that help students improve through live problem-solving. The sessions have been popular, and it’s clear that Mikey’s coaching is helping everyone level up, including himself.
